Here is steps to uninstall the Error OpenERP from your PC (Windows) to make sure that in your PC is cleaned (no old data of OpenERP) :
- Step 1: Uninstall all OpenERP programs including PostgreSQL First thing you have to do is remove the three OpenERP programs from your server using the add/remove program tool in your control panel. Remove OpenERP server, OpenERP GTK Client, OpenERP Webclient, OpenERP All-in-one and the PostgreSQL. If there is anything else in your list with the words OpenERP or PostgreSQL just remove it.
- Step 2: Deleting the users After a lot of searching I finally figured out that every time you install OpenERP the software creates a new Windows user. To delete this the clean way you have to enter to your computer management in the control panel. Look for the user accounts tab and go to the users folder. Here you will see a list of all the users on your server, delete all the users which contain the words PostgreSQL and Openpgsvc. Also check your administrator account for a file named Openerp-client.log and press delete again!
- Step 3: Cleaning the registry Now it’s time to clean the registry from any OpenERP and PostgreSQL keys. Go to start -> execute and type regedit to enter to the registry. Here you press ctrl+F to search for any keys or folders containing the words: OpenERP, PostgreSQL, PGAdmin III, PGAgent or PGSQL. After you finish searching and destroying everything OpenERP and PostgreSQL it’s advisable to run a registry cleaner like CCleaner.
- Step 4: Prefetch folder The last step is to delete any prefetch data located in your windows folder. Go to windows -> prefetch folder and look for anything OpenERP and PostgreSQL. There is a chance that there isn’t and prefetch data for OpenERP or PostgreSQL, but if there is press the delete button. After doing so it would be a good time to restart your server.
